Reputedly kaleidoscope was invented in 1817 by the English physicist Sir David Bruster. But in fact in Russia it came to existence due to Michailo Lomonosov in the XVIII century. His three works are still kept in the Ermitage.
The enthusiasm for kaleidoscopes didn't pass nowadays. Those who hold this invention in a hand once a life, don't part with it during all the way. During the 500 years 25 tracery - forming elements of the kaleidoscope are always made up in different designs, each unlike the previous one.
Therapeuticaly it is proved that 15 minutes of watching through the kaleidoscope are as relaxing as 5 minutes of healthy laughter.
